Over the years there have been a few holiday traditions that have become expected in order to celebrate properly. Like Dad's favorite orange roll recipe in the shape of an Easter basket.
We wouldn't have a reason to celebrate Easter without the Savior, of course.
But it also wouldn't be Easter unless we had another epic Easter Egg hunt for the teenagers at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Dad likes to make it as complicated as possible. It's part of the fun... for the spectators anyway.
Rosie found the golden egg on the roof, but they had to get creative in order to reach it.
He thought it would stay afloat in it's plastic sandwich baggie, but things got a little more difficult after it sunk below the surface.
Jacob was the lucky winner after he felt it brush against his leg.
All the uncles cheered and we had a good laugh as they came soaking wet out of the pond.
The younger cousins had fun wrestling with Jacob afterwards, but it really looks like they're just after his prize money.
Speaking of prizes, guess who won the Mrs. Idaho Pageant crown this weekend?
