Dad's Alaska Homecoming

Today is the day!
I'm ready to have my husband back.
And these kids are ready to get their Dad back too.
There he is!
Leah called dibs on the first hug.
Then Chelsea got a squeeze.
At least I got a longer hug, while the kids watched awkwardly from a distance.
Shaelyn got her hug next.
And Jacob finally got his hug too.
Grandma Jody got to be there to embrace her baby boy.
"Let me look at your face."
Grandpa Stephan got a hug and snuck in a quick peck on the cheek too.
He's finally HOME!
We're so glad to have him back that we would do just about anything for him... even if it means carrying all his heavy luggage to the car.
After a fun reunion dinner and a good night's rest, we sent the kids off to school the next day and went to the Boise Temple.
It was a symbolic way of expressing our gratitude to our Savior for guiding us through this challenging separation, keeping us safe, and blessing us with His power and love to endure our trials.
Our hearts are at peace, and we feel whole once again.
Welcome home, My Love.
It feels so good to have you back!
